Related: About this forumThe Problem With Claiming Victory
Is that the fight is not over. Yes, a primary is a conflict between candidates, even if they are aligned on most of the issues. Only one can win. Does that mean we should denigrate each other and divide into dissension? I certainly hope not. This is why Sanders didn't sweat bailing Clinton out on the email issue. This is why you can tell the MSM is full of shit when they declare Clinton as the winner. The real test of who won a debate is who wins the election. Everything else doesn't matter. Some might say the messaging matters. To a certain extent it does. But it can also backfire when someone claims victory which flies in the face of the facts, as many here have done and as the MSM has done. What happens when you do that is exactly what is happening to the GOP right now. I don't think that's what anyone here wants (except maybe the trolls). So go ahead declare victory, but if you do, remember the consequences of doing so and how you end up looking.

(22,871 posts)be just as strong. The last month on DU was spent claiming Bernie was going to clean her clock and destroy her,now it's a constant stream of sour grapes because that didn't happen.
