(6,942 posts)Elect a President who represents and understands the middle class and doesnt take donations from corporations nor puts former CEO's and Wall St on the Cabinet working against the very people who elected them.
Sorry but Obama has been a disappointment in many ways and I believe Hillary will even be a bigger disappointment.
Let just get someone who works for US the 99.9% 100% of the time.

(19,537 posts)How are they going to help us restore middle class jobs when they will be used more to take them away, and destroy the middle class even more. Sorry but NO THANK YOU!!!!
We need to stop voting just on "identity politics" and still vote on issues! If you want a real dynamic and potentially changing identity politics ticket, imagine how a Jewish/Muslim ticket of someone like Sanders/Ellison might represent a big change to the world. I think the persons that would be a part of that ticket would be a supreme example of how we shouldn't just be voting on their identities, as conventional wisdom would say those two "identities" paired on a ticket would be impossible, but the two PEOPLE we would be voting for would be a great team to help us bring real CHANGE on issues that people care about!
But most of us would want to campaign on the issues that combination, or some other similar combination of candidates that are more focused on issues they want to help America fix, rather than whether they are the first "Jew" or the first "Muslim" being elected.

(19,537 posts)Not sure what that popup infested web site is about, which almost felt like malware before I closed the window, but looks about as useless as anything else that people try to use against Bernie.
Edit: Looks like the link you replaced with is a bit more on topic. As for its notes, it reeks of propaganda. Yes, many of us here do acknowledge that Obama has done many good things, but he's also got many issues that aren't too helpful to us, that pages like this ignore. It doesn't mention the free trade messes that are coming through TPA, TPP, TTIP, etc. that will not only be put in place by himself, but a subsequent Republican administration if one is elected with TPA passage that he pushed so hard along with Republicans over most Democrat Party votes that weren't beholden to corporate cash as the DINOs were. Had he pushed Single payer in negotiating ACA even half as much as he did the TPP and TPA, we'd probably at least have a public option today in the ACA, and have a far less expensive system. Also, his justice department can't even keep pace with the Reagan administration in prosecuting banksters whose CRIMES created both the Savings and Loans crisis of Reagan's day and the crisis we recently had in Bush's administration. WHY? We need new leadership that will work more for the people rather than those who work for the banksters and Corporate America and wouldn't let them off the hook for screwing this country so heavily in recent years.
Bernie's got far higher ratings from those who really want progressive policies on issues, which he's been consistent and vocal about, and not waiting for polls to tell him whether he should say anything about them at all.

(6,942 posts)Hillary suggesting is a clear sign she need to catch up to Bernie Sanders anyway she can. The Grassroots say Bernie, The Media says Hillary.
Hillary will say anything and not mean anything she says or does. She will get my vote only by default.
