The Democratic primary doesn't need Joe Biden by Joann Walsh

http://www.thenation.com/article/the-democratic-primary-doesnt-need-joe-biden/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=New%20Campaign&utm_term=daily

I couldn’t declare anyone the clear winner of last Tuesday’s Democratic debate, but I was sure of one thing: that the strong performance of Hillary Clinton and Senator Bernie Sanders (as well as former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley) should convince Vice President Joe Biden that there was no obvious opening for him to run for president.

Clinton, I wrote, “proved that the Democrats don’t need a (white) man on a white horse to come in and save them from her candidacy.” Meanwhile, “Sanders proved the party, and the nation, has a real choice–between a center-left reformer and a (peaceful) left-wing revolutionary.”

I think that Biden is "convinced" there's nice parking place between Bernie and Hillary. Tierra_y_Libertad Oct 2015 #7

in a nutshell. There are a whole lot of Party folks and women who are VERY invested in having a Hillary be the nominee. Back in the day I would have been with them and for the very same argument -- I want to see a woman in that office. I voted for Feinstein, Pelosi, and Boxer with that in mind. Over the years, when I discovered that a woman office holder can be just as bad on the issues as any male office holder, I decided that my sole criteria will be who is best for that job, regardless of sex/orientation/race/religion.

Which is why I voting for the old, white, male, Jew and not Hillary.

I hope he runs and splits the moderate/Centrist/DLC/neolib vote.
