Summary from video: It was known that she was prevented by the Administration from hiring Blumenthal and according to the emails, she relied heavily on his input regarding policy. Blumenthal continued to criticize Obama to Clinton when she was Sec. of State. Presumption is that she took advisements from him that ran counter to Administration policy.


Clinton on the Defensive

Rep. Jim Jordan, a Republican of Ohio, put Clinton on the defensive when he pressed her on the administration’s conflicting public statements in the wake of the attacks about what caused them. It may have been Republicans' best moment yet.

Jordan noted that an hour after the State Department had said publicly that the attacks were a spontaneous response to an anti-Islam video, Clinton told her family via email that it was a terrorist attack.

“You tell the American people one thing, you tell your family an entirely different story,” he said.

Jordan added that Clinton also told members of the Libyan and Egyptian governments that it was a terrorist attack not long after.

The real problem here is that they made members of the admin go on for few days about the video. They even sent Susan Rice to the Sunday Morning talk shows carrying this story.


The GOP lands a punch

Rep. Mike Pompeo’s questioning about requests from Stevens and other for more security seems like the first time Republicans have scuffed up Clinton at all. Clinton says those kinds of requests don’t make it up the chain to her. That may be a reasonable answer, but it leaves her looking as if there were flaws in the department’s process, at best.

Pompeo contrasted Stevens’s lack of access to Clinton with the fact that she received over 180 emails with Libya policy suggestions from her friend Sid Blumenthal, a close Clinton ally.

“The level of detail…That’s a special friend,” Pompeo said.

7. Little Benny Rhodes, Fiction Writer, was the guy who pushed the video thing.

And Susan Rice, UN Ambassador...why was she sent to do the heavy lifting of damage control when her agency had nothing to do with anything? Why not the National Security Advisor? Why not a counter-terror person like Brennan? That's like sending out the Secretary of Labor to explain why the Obamacare computer failure happened, rather than the HHS head.
