The American people saw Clinton being eminently presidential. Can you imagine another candidate standing up that well to 9-12 (not sure the exact total) hours of interrogation before the cameras? I can't. Jeb can't get through a TV spot. Others would blow up and give the GOP a career ending soundbite, which is precisely what Gowdy was going for. Only it didn't work. His witch hunt backfired completely.

People can bookmark this post and show it to me on election day Nov. 2016. I feel strongly it will hold up.

The general public hasn't really been in the race yet but....I cannot believe any woman can watch this and not hate the repuglican party. This day has definitely started the general election.

We are starting to see the culmination of years of tea party stupidity get the best of them. They just sit there patting each other on the back leading to much bolder public displays of ignorance combined with a lack of morals and ethics. This hearing isn't the start or the end. That helps all democrats.

They continue to delve deeper into extremism and the reality is that Gowdy is taking no risk at all in any of this unless he breaks the law. Gowdy won his last election with around 83% of the vote. When his district was redrawn and wasn't to his liking, they changed it again.

He literally loses nothing. I hate that. He will have clout in his party moving toward. We are political junkies. Most of this country didn't know who he was yesterday and won't tomorrow.

He is trying to derail the campaign of the front runner of one of the two major parties with a sham of a committee and for the life of me I can't figure out what he loses. He might personally gain. Not sure about the rest of the members on their side.

I can tell you as a woman I will never never vote for any person with a R behind their name. It was totally disgusting to watch and they have total disregard for women who by the way are the largest voting block.
