Charleston Branch NAACP Announces Secretary Hillary Clinton as Freedom Fund Banquet Keynote Speaker

We are pleased to announce that former First Lady of the United States, former United States Senator (D-NY), and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has graciously accepted our invitation to join us at our 98th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet as the Keynote Speaker for the event. Held at the North Charleston Convention Center on Friday, October 30, 2015 beginning at 7:00 pm, the annual Freedom Fund Banquet is the Charleston Branch NAACP’s primary annual fundraiser. The theme for this year’s event is Pursuing Liberty in the Face of Injustice.

This is Secretary Clinton’s second year keynoting our Freedom Fund Banquet; she first joined us and over 1,200 guests at the sold out event in 2007. We are honored to have her with us again this year as we look back on what was a very active year for our organization in our fight for civil rights in the Charleston area.

“I’m excited about her presence. Her message is our message, and that’s the litmus test for who we invite,” said Branch President Dot Scott.
