The Animals Love Bernie Because Bernie Loves ThemThe greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.

The same applies to individual human beings also, imo.
You can see Bernie's chart where he scored 100% on Animal Rights Legislation in Congress HERE
Thanks again, Bernie for standing up for those without a voice!

Animals are so cool!
My kitten is watching that video right now! Little barn kitten who we rescued because he looked like he had no eyes. Vet had to remove one eye, but the good news is he isn't blind as his other eye wasn't as badly infected. We have adopted him and he so cute. He loves watching videos and TV, favorite channel is the Weather Channel!

(146,281 posts)It's interesting that someone is trying to use that issue, really. Both candidates are great on those issues.

(6,640 posts)I think that all of us should be working on animal rights and not relying on what the president stands for. After all, a POTUS has military affairs, foreign affairs, business affairs to handle. And we want to rely on him/her for what happens to our pets and animals?!?!?!?!?!

(62,325 posts)are rampant. RFK Jr has been working to end these monstrous corporations for years. But money talks.
Congress won't end the cruelty these farms are engaged in because of the MONEY involved.
Like Monsanto, these animal abusers have too much power and influence legislation the same way, with money.
If eg, a bill is introduced to try to regulate and monitor these corporations it isn't going to get anywhere, see The Dark Act and Monsanto's influence over that legislation DESPITE the huge support of the American people for food labeliing.
A President has veto power. All they have to do is use it. I believe Bernie will do that. Bush did. Obama rarely used it.
WorseBeforeBetter
(11,441 posts)I'd be all for it.
Your use of "rely" is quite crafty. And the answer is no, not "rely."

that raccoons are all voting for Hillary.

(62,325 posts)and showed them photos of Bernie and Hillary. (Full Disclosure: I did put a little cat food on Bernie's photo which should have no effect at all on their choice of candidate). All of them went went to Bernie's photo.
There is no greater authority on racoons than racoons themselves! No question, they all voted for Bernie.

(11,573 posts)have all requested Hillary buttons. I also have orders from several bobcats, a coyote family, a herd of javelina and several dozen deer. Texas is diverse, after all.
What about Bears? You have no Bears in Texas? Every Bear in he NE is for Bernie!

(11,945 posts)I try not to judge people who don't like animals, but I do feel sorry for them. Animals have enriched my life, from infancy on, in so many ways. I cannot imagine life without some degree of animal contact. They are so completely real.
Bernie's a total good guy, and I have no idea if he has pets/animal companions, but it's good to know that he cares about their welfare.

My God you Sanders supporters are getting desperate.
I like and respect Sanders but to paraphrase Gandhi. "I love Sanders very much. His supporters not so much. They are so unlike Sanders."
senz
(11,945 posts)and I've enjoyed it. For that reason, the resentment and sarcasm from the "other camp" does nothing to make me want to support their candidate if she gets the nomination.
I could say a whole lot more.
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)sometimes. Bernie's campaign and his supporters are so positive, so much fun while at the same time deeply informed on the issues.
I wonder why they don't try to PROMOTE their candidate, rather than always being on the attack. Otoh, it's difficult to support a candidate whose policies over the years are so hard to defend.
senz
(11,945 posts)and your final sentence sums it up. Many if not most of these people are Democrats and, as such, probably have some understanding of what Democrats stand for. But for various reasons, they're committed to supporting her even though she does not live out Democratic ideals. So they're stuck in an uncomfortable place, and they envy us for being able to support Bernie without conflicts. It's like we can enjoy a kind of open-hearted enthusiasm that is no longer possible for them. So they hate us for it. I too feel sorry for them, sometimes. But when they get really ugly, not so much...
Oh well. Thanks for all you do, sabrina.
sabrina 1
(62,325 posts)a candidate who in so many ways has shown herself to be far more Conservative on so many issues, than any Democrat is supposed to be. One or two can be explained but there are just so many.
Others I think, actually are that conservative themselves and don't have much of a conflict trying to explain to the rest of us how 'naive' we are etc.
Others probably think we have to keep on compromising in order to get the few crumbs we get if Dems win.
All I know is it is really good to be able to support someone we do not have to defend on most issues for a change.
