In Iowa, Hillary Clinton Sees New Strength

But Mrs. Clinton’s successful navigations of the Benghazi hearing before a congressional panel and the Democratic debate boosted her support. A new CBS News/YouGov poll showed her edging ahead of Mr. Sanders in Iowa. She had the backing of 46% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents, compared with 43% for Mr. Sanders.

That is a marked improvement from a month earlier when the same poll showed Mr. Sanders with a 10-point lead in Iowa. The latest survey also found that the bulk of Mr. Biden’s supporters in Iowa would back Mrs. Clinton.

Both the Sanders and Clinton campaigns have moved quickly to woo Biden backers. Iowa state Sen. Tony Bisignano, a longtime Biden supporter, received calls from both campaigns within hours of Mr. Biden’s announcement Wednesday. Mr. Bisignano has yet to endorse another candidate, but is prepared to help the nominee and said that is likely to be Mrs. Clinton.

“She’s picking up the momentum, which she lost a great deal of over the summer,” he said. At this point, “she’ll probably continue to rise.”

Jerry Osburn, 63 years old, came to a Clinton rally Saturday before the Iowa Democratic Party’s Jefferson-Jackson Day fundraising dinner. He said he is still considering backing Mr. Sanders, but came away impressed by Mrs. Clinton’s performance at the Benghazi hearing. “It’s all positive for her right now,” he said. “She handled herself very diplomatically; calm. I’m going to call it presidential.”

Given the opportunity to be heard and she does quiet well. Getting past the RW talking points to allow voters to hear the truth is definitely falling on Hillary's side. She first went and talked to people, listened to them and their concerns and has built an agenda based on what she learned. I was very excited to hear she is including assistance for care givers, this affects the whole family of those who needs extra care.
