Sanders Campaign Bought 1,950 Tickets to Iowa JJ Dinner

NOTE: This explains why they all walked out after Bernie's speech.

Candidates worked with the Iowa Democratic Party to buy tickets and get their supporters into the room. The Sanders campaign bought 1,950 tickets-- which will be distributed to their supporters for free -- meaning that almost one third of the room will definitely be cheering for Sanders. The other campaigns did not release the exact numbers of tickets they bought.

Both the Sanders and Clinton campaigns bought the maximum number of tickets available for supporters: about 1,950, mostly bleacher seats at $50 each, and table seating for $120 and up. The O’Malley campaign said it, too, would fill almost all its allotted seats, though tickets were bought by supporters, not by the financially struggling campaign.

The only surprise here is that Hillary wasn't able to limit Bernie supporters like she was at the debates.

to buy their own tickets. Said these things are usually attended by richer people, but he wanted to give others a shot.

What a bad, bad man.

I only wish I had posted the email in the Bernie Group, as I often have or at least saved it in my email inbox.

When my daughter was volunteering for Howard Dean, she was able to go to this dinner with help from the campaign.

he packed the audience for phony applause when he cued up the phony catch phrases and he did something similar the night of the debate when he bought the top trending topic so his campaign directed followers to online polls to vote so they could distort the poll results then offer the phony polls up as proof he won the debate. That and other stuff like that.

There are plenty of things you could say about Bernie supporters, but phony isn't one of them. Our enthusiasm is as real and as grass-roots as it gets. Hillary's, on the other hand, eh, I'll go with "not so much".

And the hypocrisy of the OP is incredible, pointing out only Bernie's purchase but not Hillary's equal purchase? WTF?

You have nothing on Bernie, so now you're trying to make him look almost as bad as your own candidate. Good lluck with that!

Try positive advocacy for issues that matter to the people, it feels good and it's the right thing to do.

Reminds me of another group of people who can't be embarrassed. The more "electable" our party becomes, the more it looks like them.
