GD:P. I love this forum, but a funny thing happened during

rendering on DU. I noticed it the day that the forum opened. If you type GD(colon)P, you get this: GD

Now, that's because of how text emoticons are rendered on DU. (colon)P produces the tongue-out smiley, .

I think it's funny, really, and I'm glad Skinner didn't change it after I pointed the rendering problem to him. The more I see it, the more apt I think it is.

I post a lot in GD . It occurs to me that there are a lot of tongues sticking out and raspberries being sounded in this forum. That makes GD pretty perfect as a designator for the forum.

In boot camp, we were required to jump up and stand at attention when an officer or petty officer appeared. For some reason, a GM-1 Seal was passing through our area, and we all jumped up.
