"In our own party, I am doing my very best to build a new consensus and once Secretary Clinton and Senator Sanders get done bickering and shouting about who's sexist and who is not, I hope they'll come back to the main issue here, which is that we need common-sense gun safety legislation in our country,O'Malley said during the press conference (outside the republican debate).
" Clinton and Sanders) are sniping and bickering back and forth about who's shouting and who's not, who's sexist and who's not, and it's distracting from the life and death importance of this issue," O'Malley said of gun control.

(14,177 posts)best line of the week. He is right we need to talk about the issues. It's not gun control or lack of that is the big issue we need to talk about though. I am for some common sense things like cracking down on straw purchases and tougher sentencing as well. But, the big issue is our culture of violence. If nothing is done about that no gun control will significantly cut down on how many people are murdered and commit suicide.
