Hillary's baby steps towards addressing racial justice in a real way aren't working. She is lagging behind her competition, Sanders.

You guys are too locked into your candidate. Instead of the issues. Bernie supporters are locked into the issues, and will vote for anyone who truly represents them.
Thinkingabout
(30,058 posts)do with Sanders. Besides this, Hillary is far ahead on foreign affairs and has advocated for children's and women's issues throughout her life, is strong on preventing gun violence, health care and wage disparity. She represents me.

(787 posts)I have come to the conclusion that the posters who declare themselves Social Justice Activists that post here are just Hillary defenders no matter the issue or fact. They have spent all their posting energy attacking a candidate who might be better than Hillary on almost every issue including their own chosen issue.
The sole basis for their support of Hillary and their attacks on Bernie are assertions that we can not have a universal justice candidate and that their one issue (something called social justice but not including the problems that affect other races) is more important than any other issues. For example, their version of social justice does not address any of the genocides that have occurred in the 20th century amongst the Asian people or current prejudice against the Arab people. It does not address, African American prejudice against Puerto Ricans in New York. It does not address a lot of the inequalities amongst races. They say Bernie has a problem with POC but they really only mean African American which is statistics they quote.
At this point, these particular posters are totally invested thinking that their single issue is the only issue that can be worked on by a movement (not just one of the most important. They invested themselves in Hillary and it would cause too much cognitive dissonance to (1) see past race to common human problem and try to realize that their might exist people that have even a harder time in both America or the World, (2) realize that that the problems with Racism and profiling are not unique to their race in both America and History and (3) even if they want to be one issue supporters to realize their chosen candidate has two right feet on Social Justice for African Americans.
Prism
(5,815 posts)Don't see why they'd say anything here.
It's like they think social justice is just this internet thing. It's not that important. Just a piñata to have fun with.
Meh. They've been doing it for years. No one's fooled.

(900 posts)@ninicerules connect with what? more talk? where's the plan? Sanders has one. HRC keeps talking about it & asking folks to "wait"
The fact that older black leaders verbally attacking protesters show how high the jig is #hillary4who
One of the hardest things to swallow about the HRC event at CAU today is just that. It was in OUR home. OUR space. #Hillary4Who
Hillary felt safe saying #BlackLivesMatter in the AUC, but not at the Democratic Debate.
