2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAbout small donors: say 1000 people give me $1, and one person gives me $1000
Most of my donors are small donors
The average donation is $2
The median donation is $1
All well and good, but -
I'll leave you to guess which donor's phone calls get answered.

I've been involved in fund-raising for a nonprofit arts group. The big donors get wined and dined and fawned over in the hope they will give even more money, and all the small donors get is a thank-you note. Why would politics be any different?

I'm sure that would outweigh the opinions of the small donors.

but I'm sure some larger arts organizations have.

I'm a maxed out donor, and I have the same access to her that you do: out on the campaign trail.
