2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumHillary just got trashed in 2 tweets
Deeply, deeply offensive to families--including mine--that were forever changed by that tragedy.
@Lis Smith
My dad worked in WTC from the day it was built to the day it went down. @HillaryClinton, never invoke 9/11 to justify your Wall St positions

(8,168 posts)I can't believe there are people who disagree with Hillary's positions.
I can't think of another way to respond to a couple of anecdotal tweets.

But I'm not.
Really disgraceful to attempt to use 9/11 for any political gain.

(1,539 posts)Senator Clinton remained silent when Whitman director of EPA said the air quality of safe for those to clean up ground zero. Anyone with two grey matter brain cells, knew it wasn't safe.

(22,308 posts)It should be obvious to everyone that she will self destruct if she is our nominee.
Fatally flawed candidate.

(85,373 posts)if by some gross malignity of Fate, she was put in the WH.
...it would be curtains for the economy and the election process, and foreign policy would drive us right into WWIII (if Obama doesn't get us there first).

(22,308 posts)My greatest fear (as far as this topic is concerned) is that she will win the nomination and lose the GE.
I think she might be an OK President. Who knows for sure? She might even be great. Of course she might be terrible too. No body knows for sure right now.

(24,411 posts)I'm an Iowan, and she deserved to come in third in our caucuses in 2008. She is a disingenuous person, she represents the corporations (not us!!) and she's running for herself and her own ego (unlike Bernie, who is running to help this country and the people in it).
Thus far, her campaign has kept her public appearances very controlled and regimented. She doesn't take questions from people.
Her campaign has suggested that meeting with small groups of Iowans, behind closed doors--is some kind of "listening tour." Bullshit.
They know what happens when Iowans ask her questions and when things get real.
She is a walking facade who cannot relate to or communicate with everyday Americans.

(3,190 posts)To me, no matter what she says, she always seems to be hedging and skating a fine line between saying the right things to get votes, but not going over that line to piss off her big donors.
I just don't trust anything she says.

(20,166 posts)If she is the nominee, it's becoming more and more apparent to me that I'll need an industrial-strength clamp pinching my nose as I vote for her.

(24,411 posts)At least a quarter of our party loathes Hillary Clinton in the same way they loathe some of the worst Republicans.
Our party will not have that grass-roots enthusiasm that is needed to fuel voter turnout in the GE.
That's what is alarming and why she should not be our nominee.
I would vote for her, but it's obvious that many won't even bother.

(21,054 posts)...I believe that they will stay home and pass their votes and with low turn out, the Repukes are favored.
IMO, Hillary will give us on the Repuke clowns as our next POTUS.
