Say it ain’t so: Alan Grayson endorses Hillary Clinton

.......

Grayson’s inclusion on the Clinton Florida Leadership Council leads an observer to consider two possible scenarios.

The first is that Grayson is (finally) endorsing Hillary Clinton. But in doing so, he moves decidedly to the center, brazenly putting himself in a better political position to face Murphy in the Democratic Senate primary. However, this strategy only serves to push Grayson away from his Sanders/Daily Kos base, essentially thumbing his nose at his most fervent supporters.

The other can be summed up in two words: “my bad.”

In this instance, Grayson is not REALLY endorsing Clinton – which would not be surprising for someone known (charitably) as a “loose cannon.”

1. And under the bus goes Grayson.

That doesn't bother me. I never liked Grayson, anyway. He has a following, here, and like other former champions of the left who have endorsed Clinton, he will be abandoned and called a corporate stooge.

14. I think they're talking about Grayson's supporters

Quite a few of them won't be happy to see that Grayson endorsed Clinton, since they don't see her as a good enought progressive.

16. So when did not being happy with someone become chucking under the bus?

Ever had a disagreement with a close friend or family member? Did you chuck them under the bus? Believe it or not, it's quite possible to disagree with someone and still maintain a relationship or respect for that person. But conservatives have always had a binary way of thinking.

17. That's not the impression I've gotten from most Grayson supporters I've seen so far

Most of the people who support him are the people who despise Hillary Clinton and anyone they see as not being a true progressive. An endorsement for Hillary would be seen as a betrayal by these supporters.

There's another thread around here that talks about what happened.

Or look at his Facebook page and read some of the recent posts others have posted there.

31. Ok...

... I'll address this another way, and it is my own personal opinion. The "under the bus" thing, I believe, is something Hillary supporters came up with because it perfectly describes those people who were okay or great until they endorsed her. Then they became corporatsts, warmongers, 1 percenters etc. It's kind of like the memes Bernie's supporters use such as, "it's her turn", the "Anointed One", waiting for the "coronation", the "chosen one" etc. Words you hear from plenty of Sander's supporters, but as far as I know have never been uttered by a single Clinton supporter. Hope this clears that up for you.

2. Perhaps he sees that Sanders is cratering slowly.

And in cravenly opportunistic fashion, he's jumping ship to the winner, because that's kind of how he rolls.

That's one endorsement I'd say Clinton doesn't especially need.

He's not a nice man.

I have to wonder if Pelosi's push-pull relationship w/Grayson has anything to do with his inclusion on this council.

Or could it be he's trying to get in good with the DSCC after Tester showed him the hand?

3. It is the only way he will get to run himself. Just like the Republican candidates Democratic

candidates, in
order to receive support from the third way billionaire left libertarians, must agree to certain ideas and follow certain directions.

Exactly the same tactics the so called right libertarians to coerce all Republican candidates into their agenda.

Where is a discussion on DU about just what the Democratic policies are and will be.

Are we libertarian or liberal?

38. There seems to be a blindness to just how much control the libertarians have gained over the

Democratic party since naturally different language and talking points are useed for the hook, like that baloney about basic income. A proposition that would shame a carnival barker running a shell game.

40. You can tell the diffrerence in the candidates but haven't detected the libertarian support because

the Koch libertarians aren't the only ones in the game. Hillary has the support of the tech libertarians and the ones who do believe in climate change is very much influenced by fossil fuels.

That environmental group that just endorsed Hillary is made up of the kind of libertarians supporting Hillary and other already elected libertarians as Democratic in the U.S. Congress, so include the other Democratic on the list of Democratic they support or have supported.

All the libertarians are the same on wage suppression, voting rights, taxes and other very critical issues.

Here are some links about the environmental group, mostly tech billionaires, and about the take over of the Democratic party.

The didn't join one of the fine even exemplar existing environmental group because they have other purposes.

Not sure how I got on his e-mail list -- perhaps my heavy donations to Bernie?

Anyway, I was tired of all of his e-mails so I scrolled down to the 'unsubscribe' button only to see a shaming message along the lines of "Unsubscribe if you want to support the GOP and abandon Democrats."

That's all I needed to see to know that I had made the right decision to dump his mailings.

I'm thinking Warren feels sorry for Bernie soon and decides to endorse him instead - just so he can have a few endorsements besides the 18-29 year old cell phone yakking and texting online shopping Starbucks double latte with skim milk and a twist of cinnamon and chocolate voter!
