Lyin' Ryan strikes again!
http://news.runnersworld.com/2012/08/31/paul-ryan-says-hes-run-sub-300-marathon/
It turns out Paul Ryan has not run a marathon in less than three hoursor even less than four hours.
A spokesman confirmed late Friday that the Republican vice presidential candidate has run one marathon. That was the 1990 Grandmas Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota, where Ryan, then 20, is listed as having finished in 4 hours, 1 minute, and 25 seconds.
Ryan had said in a radio interview last week that his personal best was "Under three, high twos. I had a two hour and fifty-something."
In a statement issued to Runner's World by a spokesman Friday night, Ryan said of his marathon experience:
"The race was more than 20 years ago, but my brother Tobinwho ran Boston last yearreminds me that he is the owner of the fastest marathon in the family and has never himself ran a sub-three. If I were to do any rounding, it would certainly be to four hours, not three. He gave me a good ribbing over this at dinner tonight."

(40,183 posts)Marathon runners know for certain their exact PR. Ryan made it up. He didn't stop to recall that chip times are kept in permanent records. This type of gratuitous lying is evidence of a deep immaturity.

If he lies about how fast he can trot, what else is he lying about.

(542 posts)He knew very well that he never ran a "two hour and fifty something" marathon. He just didn't think anyone would care enough to look into it. Kudos to Runnersworld for calling him out on it.

(290 posts)I now think Paul Ryan actually has an illness. He is a pathological liar. He apparently has no conscience or heart. His mind lives with Ayn Rand and I think he truly feels he is doing everyone a favor by lying so that he can be a hero.
Most people feel uncomfortable lying, Paul Ryan does not. It is in his blood. That makes him a very dangerous person

(11,155 posts)week marathon any one should. That along with my golf scores in the low 60's, not bad for 1 hole of golf, make me a strong contender for the Republican VP slot.
Weird how health crazed we are about our politiicians.
You nearly got me!
