DNC v. NFL

Why did we decide to give up one of our three precious hours of network coverage to compete with the first game with the NFL season?

I know that two of the three networks will still be covering it, and it is only Wednesday. Even so, it seems like it is giving away an audience.

I sure hope they get all the serious wonk speakers out of the way at once, since the only people tuning in will be pretty hard core political types.

Oh well, at least it isn't a hurricane. Oh, and....

JUST LOOK AT ALL THOSE INVISIBLE PRESIDENT OBAMAS!!!

The DNC asked the NFL to move the game to Wednesday and they complied.

5. Youth vote

One of my biggest fears is the youth vote in general. I want to be confident about this election but the truth is Obama didn't do so great with people over 30.

We've got 2 months to somehow get the young voters fired up to cast their votes. Please don't let us down, we simply can't count on people over 30 to do much more than they did last time.

I'm referring to the 2008 election results from CNN

There's really no danger that the kids tuning in to see Katy Perry and Gaga are Romney voters lol.

I just hope that the celebs urge the kids to register and to VOTE.

Thanks for the link. Good to see young people getting involved.

Looks like a pretty small turn out for a protest though. I have stood in longer lines for a hotdog at a ball game.

NBC is giving us an extra hour on Thursday night to make up for Wednesday.

Given the choice, I would rather have 2 hours from NBC on Thursday instead of 1 hour on Wednesday and 1 hour on Thursday, given that Wednesday will be on CBS and ABC anyway.

Will the sports coverage conflict with President Clinton's speech?

According to polling, Clinton's speech is the most anticipated of either convention, and could be a hit with audiences.

I hope people have a chance to see it and aren't watching sports.
