Madeline Albright Schools Mrs. Greenspan

Last edited Tue Sep 4, 2012, 08:47 AM - Edit history (2)

Andrea Mitchell just had to get in one last question on Morning Joe:

"Do you agree with Mitt Romney's prescription that Russia is the biggest threat to the United States?"

Secretary Albright responded: "Well, if you live in the 20th century you might believe that.. but the bottom line is we're living in the 21st century and he's just wrong."

And the crowd roared...

Of course, this was after MJ implied that Afghanistan mess was all Obama's fault, when he shilled for Bush during the war(s) and run up to all of them...and that Obama is failing the Syrian people. Albright corrected him, as well. Nice to have a guest who will put them ALL in their place. MJ also repeated over and over and over the "cut 716 billion from Medicare" lie. We will hear that all week.

But I don't recall any.

MJ spent all of last week gently cupping GOP yam-sacks.

turning it on in fits and starts just to see how bad it <still> is, and it's bad.

Chris Matthews was the only backbone I've seen until Albright. And you're right.. I didn't see any GOP asked about Afghanistan last week.. why? Because Mittens has no Foreign Policy ideas, or any other ideas. I'll be off MSNBC until Maddow/Matthews, et al, are on.

Current TV had GREAT coverage of the GOP Convention with Stephanie Miller, Al Gore, John Fugelsang, etc..

Her question they had to get in (quickly before the break) was to highlight how ridiculous and out of touch Romney's foreign policy knowledge is.

BUT:

A) Romney and Ryan voted FOR the same cuts
B) Ryan's bill keeps them in place ergo Ryan is less against these cuts than he was the stimulus.
C) ObamaCare is actually holding private insurance to performance standards less harsh than rethugs want for teachers.

<snip>
By 2010, the average Medicare Advantage per-patient cost was 117 percent of regular fee-for-service. The Affordable Care Act gives those private plans a haircut and tethers reimbursement levels to the quality of care administered, and patient satisfaction.
