Hillary

Michelle gave a great, heartfelt speech, but there is still
the sceptre of Hillary in the background. Where is she? I know,
Asia, but she should be here and speaking strongly for Obama, in
fact, in place of her husband as an intro. Bill's a good speechmaker
but maybe not the best.
For those of us who voted for Hillary, there are still weird feelings
and judgement about his four years vs. what we think she would
have done.
That's water under the bridge...she's done a remarkable job for any
man or woman as Sec of State and he's done some good things.

Let's pull this party together. We're voting for Obama again, no
question, but we want them to kiss and make up.

That's a non argument.
Plenty of pols here speaking on behalf of Obama.

Frankly every line in the the moral code has been crossed.
I think we need to bring out all the big guns.

appropriate. There is no reason for them to 'kiss and make up' in fact that is a stupid statement. They already have done so and she is his Secretary of State--a very important position in the administration.

Since both the President and the Vice President are in one place, the Sec. of State is supposed to remain elsewhere.

The Secretary of State deals in complex negotiations with world leaders. The SOS needs to be seen as representing the United States as a whole, not a political party.

She's a great woman and a great SOS. She would get my vote if she ran in 2016, but to suggest that there is a big pall over the convention because she isn't there is a big stretch. Anybody watching this convention can see the excitement. It's been a great night and we really don't need reminders of 2008 to bring it down. There is no reason for them to 'kiss and make up' as they both have and they have a good relationship and make a good team.

I can't respond to any posts here unless I post to my
original post.

Hey, I am over the last election but am disappointed in
Obama. There's no choice in not voting for him to return
to office and there are Obamamaniacs who believe that
and we all hope that a second term will unleash him
to make some real FDR changes.

I just think Hillary's had a huge unpleasant chore in
this administration and she's still one of the big Dems.
Her voice will be absent.
And yeah, her sceptre rules.

She is now the SOS. She is no longer in politics. She cannot be there. She has talked about this in the past..She cannot comment on political issues--responds that she is not able to discuss politics as she is SOS.

Have another drink.
