Dems would be insane not to cut ads featuring Clinton's speech

Never underestimate the appeal of this guy in rural areas.

In 2010, Republican John Raese was polling ahead of Democrat Joe Manchin here in W.Va and seemed to be building momentum. Observers figured W.Va. was on track to put a Republican in Robert Byrd's seat.

In comes Bill Clinton to campaign, and overnight Manchin pulls ahead and wins W.Va. (where Obama isn't exactly popular) by double digits.

You can pinpoint the minute the race flipped to when Bill began speaking in Morgantown that morning.

He can sell Obama's record in swing states better than any other surrogate.

I don't think it would be a good idea as a blanket campaign, but used in areas it would be effective.
