Related: About this forumOn my TV just now, Mitt Romney PROMISED to create at least 450,000 jobs ...
Hey, if they can take a projection from an Obama staffer and turn it into the mantra of "Obama promised unemployment would be under 8 percent", then why can't we take Romney's statement of "I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this message" on a promise to create nearly half a million jobs?

He just forgot to mention that they will all be overseas, and will be the result of destroying 450,000 jobs here.

(11,495 posts)He lies every time he opens his mouth so only his brain dead base will buy into his lies. Of course maybe he meant he would create that many jobs in "CHINA" or that he DID create that may jobs in China when he was at Bain.

True, his promises were made of the same bullshit as Romney's, but I was younger, more naive, and open to believe. Romney's lies today simply strike me as opportunistic fable telling of a cheap and plastic variety. If he's to convince us, he's going to have to come up with a whole new set of lies, more believable and less easily dismissed than those of an 8th grade student council candidate.

I kid you not. Now that's a promise we can believe in, because nothing says GOP like doing nothing to help the people.

(193 posts)Over the last 29 months. And in the face of hyper partisan GOP obstruction to boot. Why would we trade him for a guy who promises five times LESS jobs? Don't any of Romney's people realize that 450,000 is less than one fifth of 2.5 million?
