They're obviously corporate shills wanting to influence a polictician just like Hillary's prison lobbyists!

(30,481 posts)That and I'm a fan of lobbyists. I do think we need to strengthen regulations on the revolving door. As far as Sanders, he polls, attacks, gets help from lobbyists, gets favors for favors, has a pac working on his behalf, etc. No different from the rest it's just on a smaller scale. Everyone running right now is a straight up politician. Sanders is the only career politician on our side.
merrily
(45,251 posts)All I know about is a PAC that is affiliated with the National Nurses United Union, not with Bernie, which
has spent a little more than $569,000 in support of him. The spending ranges from print and online ads to printing materials, with significant buys in key states like Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina and Nevada. As of the last super PAC filing on June 30, the group had about $250,000 cash on hand.
Bernie does not coordinate with this PAC, which is not his, but that of the Union. This is very, very different from the PAC affiliated with Hillary that Brock runs.

(45,055 posts)In this digital era, if you die or become incapacitated, it is likely that an executive, fiduciary, personal representative or a family member will want access to your online banking accounts, investment portfolio, social media sites or email. If you have not entrusted someone with the usernames and passwords to such accounts, how will your bills get taken care of?
DECEPTIVE FLORAL ADVERTISING
There are literally thousands of websites listed online where you can order local flowers. However, a few of these claim that they are local, when in actuality they are out of town or even out of state. They just gather the order, charge an extra fee to the customer, and then contact a local florist to deliver flowers.
ATTORNEYS GENERAL JOIN STATE LEGISLATORS IN FIGHTING PATENT TROLLS
A largely bipartisan movement to regulate patent trolls is unlikely to lose steam in the near future as the number of lawsuits filed by patent trolls, or entities that exist for the purpose of licensing patents in order to sue companies for alleged infringement of those patents, has increased nearly six-fold since 2004 to a peak of 4,600 in 2012.

(45,251 posts)is using them to do? Get tax breaks for the many corporations that he owns?
The rest of your claims about Bernie are straight up laughable.

(14,570 posts)Oh, no! This is horrible, awful, terrible. But I can recall how Obama had this problem too. He really, really didn't want to hire ex lobbyists in his administration and there was an exacting hiring process that would supposedly render everyone squeaky clean.
Unfortunately, what he found on the ground, when he was trying to get stuff done, that the most qualified people WERE ex lobbyists.
Sucks, I know. But that was the reality.
If you're gonna nitpick Sanders on little crap like this that really doesn't amount to a hill of beans, what I'm suspecting is that you're feeling like he's got your candidate beat on the issues. I'm supporting Bernie because nothing, nothing can EVER convince me that single payer isn't the way to go.
In addition, I like what he wants to do with the corporate tax code and imposing some additional regulation on Wall Street. The transaction tax that he wants to use to fund free colleges is a good idea on many levels.
Overturning Citizens United is also a very good idea, and the sooner the TPP can be defeated the better for all of us, because that corporate piece of crap will cost this nation millions of jobs, and undermine what democracy we have left at local, state and national levels. TPP is a really, really BAD idea.
Basically, I'm FOR Bernie Sanders because out of all the candidates he best represents me on the issues.
By the way, Obama hasn't had one scandal. Not one. He's a good, moral man who made a huge mistake taking single payer off the table in 09, and another one touting this TPP. However, in all, he's been a good, if not great president. But don't sit there and tell me that hiring a couple of people who worked at a lobbying firm is going to poison Bernie's campaign. And it certainly won't change my vote. The guy's got a 40 year track record of fighting the good fight.
