I believe that at this point, RMoney has screwed up so much that it's impossible...

.. for the ReThugs to even TRY to cheat and rig the election.

Let's be realistic.. at this point in time, no one with a brain, even a 'normal' Republican would BELIEVE that RMoney won legitimately. It's gone too far to the crazy.

Now, in no way do I mean they won't TRY to cheat, so we must redouble our efforts to stop anything they try... nor should we be over confident ("Don't Get Cocky Kid&quot ...

but I mean... COME ON...

especially point #2.

The real work is demanded down ballot. It would be so nice to flip the House this fall and hold on to the Senate.

But a landslide is our best defense against cheating.

Watch for the senate and house races.....If they can block obama with a republican house and senate, and frustrate him completely, then in '16 Jeb becomes the savior (thanks, grantcart..)

They are working to shave points off of local races with the voter ID laws, the bad voting machines, and the propaganda,....

I'm still trying to talk myself down from the wall. The timing of the violence in the ME, Darth Cheney suddenly back on the scene, Jeb Bush, Jimmy Carter in the news, the Neo-cons resurfacing while making sure not to appear before the convention. I see two scenarios...fuck up the whole world just before the election, thus throwing the whole thing into turmoil, a la Carter. Or, they know they're all ready fucking up the whole world, so put Obama back in and let it all collapse on his watch.

I've been saying this for a couple of years. It's like the housing bubble...many people saw it coming. We warned our friends. It was so obvious, but no one would listen. I'm getting that same sense. Europe is fucked, North Africa is in total turmoil, and all this shit can overshadow the gains in the U.S. economy, and in fact undermine them. Double score!

Obama gets blamed for causing it, not doing enough to stop it, escalating it, you name it...meanwhile, why is Dick Cheney back in the news, evoking Jimmy Carter?

I know, I know...I need to buy the heavy-duty tinfoil for my hat. But I'm thinkin' Han Solo on this one..."I've got a bad feeling about this."

just knowing that Obama is able to handle these awful crises. Nobody said it was going to be easy and it never is. There is ALWAYS something to be worried about, sure, but knowing who is in charge, knowing how capable and how smart Obama is, I think we can rest somewhat assured that better him than anyone else.

On the international front, I can't think of a better team than Obama and Hillary. I am so proud that I had a chance to vote for them both (Hillary in the CT primary and Obama in the general).

Currently, the tracking polls have O+7, O+5, and R+1, for an average of O+3.67. That's pretty close to being within the MoE, if not actually within it. Plenty of room for Repugs to claim "Romney had a great comeback" as an explanation for a stolen election.

I would agree. But a lot of american voters have a history of voting against their own interests and then complaining about it later.
