This Photo of Hillary May Surprise You... But It Really Shouldn't

This photo, taken last month in the backyard of an Iowa State Senator, was posted to the official Hillary for Iowa Facebook page on Saturday.
A voter describes the scene:

"It was Hillary’s interaction with my kids. We were in Liz Mathis' backyard, and we went up to greet her. I couldn’t believe how my seven-year-old was acting with her—swinging her arm, hanging on her. He doesn’t do that with strangers. I was thinking, 'What are you thinking?! It’s Hillary Clinton!'
So as we’re standing there taking our picture with her, I said: 'We believe in you, and we’re here with you a hundred percent. What you’ve done for healthcare, women’s issues, children’s issues’—and she turned to me, and she put her hands on my kids, Sydnei and Fayde, and she said ‘I’m doing it for them.' And I started crying.

As we're walking away, I turn around—and there’s Hillary and Fayde, laughing. She said 'are you ticklish?’ and he said 'only in my armpits.' Then they were tickling. And he goes, with his tongue out:

'Boo-yah.'

I couldn’t believe it."

Although I have disagreed with a lot of the ways he went about doing things. I have a pretty good idea that he did the best he could. There is no doubt a tremendous amount of pressure from powers outside his control and from groups he probably did not even know existed that controlled what he did and said. It always seems that the presidents age very fast the first few years in office. It seems that the last couple of years of the 2 terms seem to be the easiest for them.

I hope 2016 is a very peaceful year for our President.

Next to the brain, hands and feet are the most difficult parts of the body to operate on - a lot of small floating bones loosely attached. As for plastic surgery, forget it; the skin has to remain flexible and those Amazon River delta veins aren't going away.

cadaver skin onto my index finger. The doc did not think I would be able to keep the finger as the cadaver skin rarely stays attached long enough for the tissue to grow under it. I was lucky in that about 2 months before, I decided to lay off my testosterone for a bit. So I was very low when this happened. I did some research and found out that the body heals wounds faster with low testosterone levels. I was just lucky to be someone who had low testosterone level and had to take shots to increase it. So I did not take any shots for a while.

I kept going back to the plastic surgeon and he would look at the graft and look puzzled and tell me to come back in 2 weeks and lefts look again. He finally decided to pull it and take a skin graft from me to fix it 2 1/2 months after putting the cadaver skin on. After surgery he told me he had never seen anyone who had actually grown blood vessels into the cadaver skin.

I'm not filled with anything like ire at the momentum is more like puzzlement. That's why I asked the question that puzzles me which I will restate.

Why does this behavior of playing with children rise to the level of import that you have given it by starting an OP on it? There have actually been several OPs lately with pictures of Hillary being "warm". Is this a defensive thing to counter the fact that she is not well liked? If so, I can understand. She is, in fact, not well liked and it will spell trouble in the GE.

I don't know what kind of an environment you grew up in, but sarcasm is as natural to me as breathing and is a way of joking as well as a way of critiquing.

What you would have seen in my post, if you were less sanctimonious, would have been a sense of humor rather than "ire" or being upset.

A photo is indeed just a photo, and I am glad you pointed that out because this photo of her interacting with a child does nothing to diminish my view that presidency would result in the death and impoverishment of more of such children than would a Sanders presidency.

-2pooped2pop

Are you actually suggesting, that dissimilar to most other emotionally healthy adults, she only likes wealthy children?

Why would a woman who wrote 'It Takes A village' which is a book on child rearing "not like poor children"?

Why would a woman who worked straight out of law school for the Children's Defense Fund and was honored by them:

Washington, DC -The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) celebrated forty years of changing the odds for children and honored Former Secretary of State and CDF alumna Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday, September 30, 2013. Secretary Clinton was recognized for her dedication and contributions to child advocacy.
“CDF is pleased to recognize Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has been a tireless voice for children. She’s brilliant. She cares deeply about children. She perseveres. She’s an incredibly hard worker, and she stays with it. She’s done extraordinarily well in everything she’s ever done. and I’m just so proud of her,” said Marian Wright Edelman, President of the Children’s Defense Fund.
In a video tribute Clinton, said “It’s the mission that CDF has stood for that I’m proud that I was a small part of promoting…We worked hard in the White House. We certainly appreciated the efforts of organizations like CDF kind of, you know, charging ahead.”
Hillary Rodham Clinton was with CDF from the beginning. Rodham joined CDF as a young staff attorney right out of law school and knocked on doors to research and help prepare CDF’s first landmark report, Children Out of School in America – a major catalyst for the enactment of the Education for All Handicapped Children Act, now the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. She became a CDF board member and ultimately board chair until she became First Lady.

Do you have evidence to support your assertion that "most wealthy people do NOT care for poor children"?

That being said, may we please confine ourselves to my questions and stay on topic.

You stated you "seriously doubt she (Hillary Clinton) likes poor children." In light of the fact that she authored a book about parenting 'It Takes A Village' and went to work for the Children's Defense Fund right of law school and was awarded for her work:

Washington, DC -The Children’s Defense Fund (CDF) celebrated forty years of changing the odds for children and honored Former Secretary of State and CDF alumna Hillary Rodham Clinton on Monday, September 30, 2013. Can you please square this:

"... while I seriously doubt she (Hillary Clinton) likes poor children..."

-2pooped2pop

with this:

81. Sometimes people of good will can become confused when they are deliberately misled.

Wouldn't allaying me of my confusion be the progressive and empathetic thing to do?

A simple question from a simple man but first the predicate:

"... while I seriously doubt she (Hillary Clinton) likes poor children..."

Why would a woman who doesn't like poor children write a book on child rearing and join the Children's Defense Fund right out of law school and be rewarded for her service?

That would be akin to DemocratSinceBirth not liking animals and becoming a veterinarian who is rewarded for his service by the Humane Society, am I right?

continued contributions to the welfare of children worldwide.

Your handling of negative posters by providing them with mountains of facts is an added educational bonus.

Less than two lines:

Why would a woman who doesn't like poor children write a book on child rearing and join the Children's Defense Fund and do work for which she wins an award for?
