9. Explain what? Your username says it all.
This is an exercise in futility since Clinton has the numbers to win. The only thing we should be asking ourselves is how to push her further to the left and on what issues.
If we expect Sanders or Clinton or anyone else to simply 'get things done', that shows a lack of understanding of how Congress works.
Stop looking for heroes. BE one.
|

44. They are definitely election issues.
Before anything can happen, someone must be elected. That makes getting a Democrat elected as President, electing a majority in the Senate and other things are probably the most important issues in this election cycle.
Specific proposals or policies from individual candidates are all dependent on the results of the election. So, if not elected, no candidate can do anything at all. Therefore, I put getting Democrats elected to office at the top of my issues list. For me, in every election, that is the main issue, actually. When Democrats hold office and majorities in legislatures, progressive goals are either met or advanced. When Republicans hold those offices, they are not. It could not be simpler. |

47. Sorry but those are not issues, they are goals.
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/issue
^snip^ issue [ish-oo or, esp. British, is-yoo] Spell Syllables Synonyms Examples Word Origin noun 1. the act of sending out or putting forth; promulgation; distribution: the issue of food and blankets to flood victims. 2. something that is printed or published and distributed, especially a given number of a periodical: Have you seen the latest issue of the magazine? 3. something that is sent out or put forth in any form. 4. a quantity of something that is officially offered for sale or put into circulation at one time: a new issue of commemorative stamps; a new bond issue. 5. a point in question or a matter that is in dispute, as between contending parties in an action at law. 6. a point, matter, or dispute, the decision of which is of special or public importance: the political issues. 7. a point, the decision of which determines a matter: The real issue in the strike was the right to bargain collectively. Your mistakenly thinking that increasing the authority to affect issues is in itself an issue is very telling. No wonder you support Hillary. |

One cannot state actual issues because the Hill is likely to switch positions. The whiplash is confusing so it is better to stick to feel-good nonsense like "beat Republicans".

Military reform - no more wars, dramatic reduction of the MIC, taking care of our veterans. Income inequality - Raise the minimum wage, jobs through infrastructure spending, tax reform including removal of the SS cap. Climate change - Dramatic increase in conservation and the use of renewable energy. No new coal fired power plants of any kind (no such thing as clean coal). Increase CAFE fuel requirements and have them for ALL classes of vehicles. Sanders Texas |

apparently I don't operate like the majority of humanity. I don't rank things that are important to me. If they are important, they are important, and I don't put them in any kind of order. So what I throw out there as top 3 aren't really top 3, but the first that popped into my brain, and if you asked me again an hour from now you might get a different top 3. That said:
1. The extinction of neo-liberalism and neo-conservatism. 100% public financing of all campaigns. A strong network of public services, funded and administered publicly and free at the point of service: universal health care, education pre-school through trade school or university, protected and expanded social security, utilities, roads, libraries, etc., etc., etc.. 2. Income inequality Health care - both universal access and R&D I support the candidate who I believe has a better chance of getting something accomplished.
