Some mental health issues should revoke any right to have guns, which could prevent mass shootings such as the James Holmes one.
EDIT: Just to clarify, he did not define "potential terrorists", but it's logical to think that some mental health issues impair some people to the point that they may some day become dangerous to themselves or others (eg. James Holmes).

(814 posts)Someone with Schizophrenia because it impairs their judgement in viewing what is reality.
However, I have issues with people who have ADD/ADHD, OCD or depression being prevented from getting guns. None of these disabilities diminish their grasp of reality.

(63 posts)I agree with you that not all mental health issues should prevent from getting guns. Bernie probably agrees with you too.
However, people with depression should not have guns. It can take just 1 under the blue day for them to commit serious harm to themselves. It's much easier with a gun.
