So, it looks like Israeli Prime Warmonger Benjamin Netanyahu took to the Sundays shows today "not to endorse Romney," but to just not endorse Obama, because Obama refuses to draw a "red line" after which we'd go to war in Iran. Israel, Romney, and the entire industrial military complex would love this one.

I am so sick of Israel's bigoted shit, and the U.S. looking bad for standing by them. They don't need our help. They can fuck up all on their own. I hope Mitt gets hurt today by a foreign leader basically begging us to elect him.

1. Netanyahu can't endorse Romney

Other countries don't endorse Presidential candidates directly - it would be interfering in domestic politics.

2. It won't change much. The far right lunatic war mongers will never vote for Obama anyhow

and Obama would lose votes if Netanyahu were endorsing HIM. In fact one of the things I who have been very disappointed in some of Obama's policies, really support, is his refusal to allow Netanyahu to bully him into a war with Iran. If I had no other reason to support Obama, this would get me out to vote.

And Democrats could use this. They could get some who are on the fence who generally vote Democratic but are planning on sitting out the election, to tell them that if Romney wins we the Neocons back in power, and Netanyahu gets to dictate our Foreign Policy.

So I take it back, I think Netanyahu endorsing Romney is a huge plus for Democrats. He is probably the most unpopular man in the world right now across all demographics, except for the very radical far right in this country. He has done great harm to Israel also.

Having said all that, why is anyone asking him for his opinion on OUR elections?

Because he went on the Sunday shows this morning to promote his view of what the U.S. should do, which happens to be one that Obama is opposed to and that Romney is for.

He seems to think he has a right to influence our foreign policy. Someone needs to set him straight on this.

There are far more decent and credible foreign leaders who are not war mongers, willing to send OUR troops to go fight THEIR wars, that I would prefer to hear from, IF we have to listen to the opinions of foreign leaders. He would be on the bottom of my list of people who has anything to say that I want to hear.

War with Iran!! They've singing that tune for decades now and appear to be getting more desperate as time goes by. Let him go fight his own wars, the American people have had enough of these illegal and illegitimate wars.

Because thus far I haven't heard him announce it. All I hear is vague assertions of "Democrats are pussies on foreign policy, America fuck yeah!" that we always hear from the right.

11. They are at the red line now

Netanyahu is a hard right winger, a dick cheney right winger.

Fact is, the country as a whole is not where he is with it. Most of the country does not want them to act unilaterally on this, and President Obama has over 50% favorability there.

As with EVERYTHING else, it is a big republican fabrication that the relationship is that bad.

He has gone as far as he can now, without it really turning against them from a perception standpoint in this country.

Yeah, the lunatic fringe 40% of the GOP would scream like mad and the "liberal media" would legitimize it until the point that the felt the backlash, but this is stuff that even some of the more sane republicans would not like.

Things would have to be VERY bad between US Jews and President Obama before an endorsement of Romney would help.
Something akin to not supplying arms during an Egyptian invasion, or an accidental shoot-down of an airliner or ship sinking.
And EVEN THEN it might not swing all the Jewish voters (and cash) that Romney would need to win. Netanyahu ain't exactly a popular person here or there right now- and the circumstances listed above or similar situations would not have occurred in a vacuum- i.e Netanyahu ordering something stupid, thus causing the situation. Young voters are probably soured on him, short of an Iranian nuke strike on Jerusalem.

I completely agree, things would have to be very bad btw US jews and President Obama before Netanyahu's endorsement would help.

12. Netanyahu is out of line

While this is not surprising considering Bibi's long friendship with Mittens and Adelson, I think his recent actions and signals are unbecoming of a leader of a state and have clearly crossed accepted practices. In fact, it can actually be argued that he is meddling in the domestic affairs of a foreign country. If an American President were to do the same, imagine the kind of firestorm it would set off.

I strongly believe that the administration should highlight Bibi's relationship with Mittens, his blatant breach of accepted protocols, and Adelson's patronage of the Netanyahu clan.

If we are forced to take military action against Iran, let it not be because of the political manipulation of a foreign leader - especially one who has Mittens safely tucked in his back pocket.
