Sarah Silverman introduced Sanders in Los Angeles.

Killer Mike introduced Sanders in Atlanta.

But I haven't heard of any celebrities introducing Sanders in Iowa.

but I don't know that it would make much difference in Iowa. In fact, I tend to think that Iowans look at celebrity schlepping as a bit gimmicky. We take this process pretty seriously and we tend to balk at tactics like that. We're pretty boring that way!

There are exceptions. Oprah's endorsement/event for Obama was extremely helpful. She's in a league of her own, though--and she was a transformative person who was giving testament to a transformative politician. So, it made sense.

I could see a Mark Ruffalo getting involved to endorse Bernie's environmental policies/stances. That would make sense.

Hillary had Katy Perry open for her at the JJ dinner and do a concert. Hillary's crowd was the same size as Bernie's crowd. I don't see it having a difference-making impact.

Stuff like that can backfire in Iowa--and make you look desperate. But I do get what you are saying! Bernie is drawing 2,500+ crowds now in Iowa. His crowds keep growing and growing and growing. The peak caucus season that happens in the latter two weeks of January should be AWESOME!! I think he's become the celebrity!

Bernie may want to check into renting some Iowa stadiums or indoor arenas!

There goes that meme since Susan has a net worth of over $50 million.

She supported Hillary's opponent for her New York Senate run.
She supported Barak Obama in 2008.
She's made it apparent that she doesn't think much of Secretary Clinton.

She's a stellar actress. She's an incredible activist, and overall one hell of a wonderful person. BUT... this is hardly either news or shocking.

Like millions of others worldwide, was against the invasion of Iraq. The Cheney/Bush/Perle/ Wolfowitz/PNAC crew worked overtime putting out false information about Saddam's threat to the U.S..

It's only natural that certain congress folk would vote no on any hint of a war no matter what evidence was put before them.

... makes her less of a good person than a multimillionaire? The more money one has, the worse one is, and the less one has, the better they are. There is one hell of a long gap between poverty and multi millionaire status. So, given those guidelines, Susan Sarandon is hardly what Sanders supporters would deem a very good person, and Salma Hayek would be one of the worst. Strange logic.

... Again why is Susan Sarandon a better human being then Salma Hayek? It is obvious that you measure the worth of a human being by the wealth they have. By your logic the worst criminal in prison would be a better human being than Susan Sarandon.

I believe that something happens to people when they amass BILLIONS of dollars (or, perhaps, only a special type of person is able to amass billions of dollars in the first place).

By the way, science has demonstrated that as an individual gets more and more wealthy, their empathy tends to be lower.

Her bio reads like a Hillary wanabe's dream:

Internationally acclaimed actress Susan Sarandon has dedicated much of her time to fighting hunger, promoting women’s issues and helping people with HIV/AIDS. She was appointed UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador in December 1999.

Since her appointment, Ms. Sarandon has helped raise awareness about UNICEF-supported child development and education programmes in developing countries. On mission for UNICEF, she participated in HIV/AIDS youth advocacy events in the United Republic of Tanzania, and met with women and girls who were victims of gender discrimination in India.

And like any woman of good sense and high integrity, she LOVES Bernie!
