So the Media thinks Bernie and Hillary are neck and neck in Iowa and New Hampshire now huh?

Last edited Sun Jan 10, 2016, 03:47 PM - Edit history (1)

Here's an open letter to the media.

Dear Media,

You had a close race when Bernie entered the race months ago.

You had an edge of your seat fight, in the beginning, just when you kept ignoring it and waiting for Biden to jump in.

Neck and neck? We're already past that. We've BEEN past that.

Bernie's been in the lead for months. Twisting your polls and ignoring that doesn't make it fact.

So while we're happy you're finally admitting to yourself that you have to take Bernie seriously, we can't really pat you on the back for being so slow to catch up.

So, you can act surprised when Bernie takes Iowa and New Hampshire, and I'm sure a lot of other people who trusted you as their only source will be surprised as well.

But yeah. Try to keep up. We know what you're doing.

Sincerely,
The People.

3. Very well could be, and do you know what is the most important part of it all?

How the WINNERS handle it.

I could explain what this means, but right now it will be lost on many here.

18. The grave dancing will be minimal on the part of Bernie supporters

They have shown extraordinary reserve in the face of a well-funded, malicious, unethical, misleading and vindictive assault from the Clinton camp, and I expect the Sanders camp will continue to behave that way. Further, if Hillary wins, I'd wager at least a third of her supporters on DU disappear as the funds dry up. If Bernie loses, I suspect the number of long-term AFK (away from keyboard) users is a much smaller figure.

23. And maybe DU can become a liberal site again as stated in the About section.

There are just way too many conservatives here to feel comfortable.

Long ago abandoned by our corrupt corporate owned MSM.

99% > 1% and that reality is about to smack them upside the head!

6. Yep

it's going to get ugly very soon.it's why clinton is back trying to declare bernie gunnut.

after he wins iowa and NH he has a shot at nevada.that's going to get ugly after clinton losses In Iowa and NH.

while clinton probally takes SC it may be a lot closer than some thought.

I look forward to seeing it all.

11. Ironically, in Iowa and New Hampshire, having a reasonable gun policy will be

seen as a plus - not as "gun-nuttery."

14. The clinton playbook

is to portray bernie as gunlover and to take votes out of context to say he is lover of guns.Of course it doesn't match the record
of man who has a d- rating from NRA and who NRA has said to members in vermont in past don't vote for bernie sanders.

I feel bernie not wanting people who legaly sell guns not to be sued when people who buy them go crazy or commit crimes makes
him sound reasonable.

The attacks would work better if she hadn't run as pro-gun candiate in 2008 attacking obama when video leaked of him saying some
upset with how things are cling to guns and relgion.of course now she is all about gun control

29. Now she is all about gun control.

That is unless she get to the general election in which case she will be less about gun control and thumb her nose at the control advocates foolish enough to believe anything she says.

She just can't grasp the idea that there is no reason to court the Republican voters, they will never vote for her.

16. While that would be great....

I really don't want to see how ugly this race gets once Clinton sees another nomination potentially slipping through her fingers. Her camps handling of Obama's initial surge in 2008 is what made me turn the corner from just being "not a big fan" of hers to realizing just how dangerous she is to the Democratic party and it's future.

name back in '08. Sincerely did not give a shit that continuing to run when it was clear Barack was going to get the nomination, not caring at all if they continued to divide the party to the point that it would not win in '08. Hillary supporters.

But,hell, don't tell everyone. The surprise will be wonderful... Kind of like when Eugene McCarthy almost won New Hampshire in 68. Surprise! We really were against the war and many of us are still here.

19. Right on!

I've had the sense that nothing is as it seems for months now. The narrative Hillary was to be the heir apparent was set up years ago. First we had a black President. And then we would have our first woman President. It was to be this seamless transition as we marched into a progressive paradise.

But, but....

Some of us have been rudely paying attention to Ms. Clinton's actual policy positions and when offered the alternative of a real progressive found that option much more appealing.

I eagerly await the primaries. I think the nation is going to be shocked at the divergence from the pre-ordained narrative the MSM has been pushing.

20. It amazes me that people here are so convinced that the polls are being skewed.

Stating that Sanders is ahead without any sort of facts to back it up other than some alleged confederacy of dunces against him, isn't actually supporting your deeply held belief.

Polls, as our friends in Canada learned, are also oddly useless in this modern age.

28. Missology

will be a book Clinton writes after Missing the mark in the primaries. Don't feel bad for her tho. The book will help keep her in the 1% lifestyle she's accustomed to.

Edit to add: Twelve bucks should be the price of her book. Fifteen - or more - would be too much.

36. Well we already know the polls that only count people who voted in a previous primary are skewed.

As they immediately ignore anyone under the age of 26.
