3. More detailed excerpt from Mother Jones
Tue Sep 18, 2012, 06:29 AM
Sep 2012
Romney spoke of "the Palestinians" as a united bloc of one mindset, and he said: "I look at the Palestinians not wanting to see peace anyway, for political purposes, committed to the destruction and elimination of Israel, and these thorny issues, and I say there's just no way."

Romney was indicating he did not believe in the peace process and, as president, would aim to postpone significant action: "[S]o what you do is, you say, you move things along the best way you can. You hope for some degree of stability, but you recognize that this is going to remain an unsolved problem…and we kick the ball down the field and hope that ultimately, somehow, something will happen and resolve it."

Romney did note there was another perspective on this knotty matter. He informed his donors that a former secretary of state—he would not say who—had told him there was "a prospect for a settlement between the Palestinians and the Israelis." Romney recalled that he had replied, "Really?" Then he added that he had not asked this ex-secretary of state for further explanation.

What does war resolve exactly?

And going by what he says here, Israel never has to be satisfied - they can always be guarding themselves from their nearest neighbor with the same excuse, even if they manage to get all of Palestine, they still border Arab countries. Maybe they should have taken an island for their nation.

and then it would be blockaded, everyone would be saying "that's ours and we want it back." Hell, if they'd been given the planet Mars, everyone would be claiming it as their homeland after the Jews got it up and running and gold and diamonds were found and the oranges grew to be the size of canteloupes, and they figured out how to fly them back to Earth cheaply and without spoiling.

In fact Madagascar WAS a consideration...rejected for a variety of reasons.

Go to a YouTube Video that is already posted on DU.
Right Click on the VID so the menu pops up. Click on "Copy embed URL"

paste that
<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.you tube.com/embed/w3gapBh_yqk?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Then replace the URL with the url you are trying to post, see if that works!

If it doesn't work my only other idea is to bounce the computer outta the window!

There are only so many possibilities.

If this conversation happened within the past year, and if it was with a Republican, it would probably have to be one of:

Colin Powell

Condoleeza Rice

George Shultz

Henry Kissinger

James Baker

--------

Lawrence Eagleburger and Alexander Haig are recently deceased, so unless they talked to Romney before they died, it's unlikely to be them.

He's got no leadership skills at all, nor does he want any. He has no ideas either. He wants two things, to get more $$$ for his rich cronies and to be crowned President and run around with people standing at attention at his appearance all day. That's it. He's GOT NOTHING TO GIVE, but he's got plenty he wants to take, from us and our country and even the whole world.

What a miserable excuse for a human being.

It was on Rachel. I usually listen to Current TV and whoops, had switched over. I briefly caught a bit of Dead Intern Joe Scum this am and all they were talking about was how to change the campaign, not the substance. Shifted quickly over to Bill Press and now have to do something to disinfect my tv.
