Biden clarifies comments on Hillary Clinton and income inequality

http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/onpolitics/2016/01/12/joe-biden-hillary-clinton-bernie-sanders-nbc-today-income-inequality/78673812/

Vice President Biden sought Tuesday to clarify his comment that income inequality is a "relatively new" issue for Hillary Clinton, a statement trumpeted by Clinton primary opponent Bernie Sanders.

"What I meant was, for the last five years, she's been engaged in foreign policy," Biden told NBC's Today show, referring to her term as President Obama's secretary of State.

Income inequality "has been Bernie's mantra from the time he's gotten involved," Biden added. "Even when income inequality wasn't as serious as it is today, it was his drumbeat. And so that's what I meant."

Will Biden now be thrown under the bus?

I wouldn't call that complimentary but I know his supporters do. Bernie's inability to evolve on important issues is what his colleagues won't support him.

OMG...Can you imagine that call?

"Biden! You asshole! My campaign is sinking like a ship while you're praising Bernie and talking smack about me. Get out there and fix this or I'll have my boys at Goldman Sachs drain your accounts by simply moving a decimal point a few spaces!!"

LOL!!!

Biden: "What I really meant to say, was...." Now we know how DC works. Biden speaks the truth. Hillary makes a call. Biden has to semi-retract.

Don't worry Joe! We know what you meant. Nothing that America didn't all ready know, but we appreciate your initial candor.

into his original comments than he meant and risk overplaying their hand. Joe is the quintessential team player and he is first and foremost a Democrat.

President Obama will not endorse before the primaries have indicated a clear winner. Joe likely will not endorse before he does.

But if he does and he endorses Hillary, Joe will certainly join us under that bus.

He works for the banks, and makes sure they get what they want, even if it hurts the little guy ... Like that Bankruptcy Bill, for instance ...

NOT good for regular citizens, but VERY good for banks ....

I still love the guy, but that's because I like his personality ... He tossed OUR asses under the bus with that bill ... And that's a fact ...

"There's nothing new about income inequality. The only thing that's new is that it's finally on the national stage after growing steadily over the past 40 years." The speaker was kind enough to not add "including during the 90s HRC loves to take credit for" but it was sort of floating in the air.

Of course it's a relatively new issue for Hillary, because she just stole the idea from Bernie!

Anyone who actually watched and listened to Joe Biden in this interview, knows very well how heartfelt his praise of Bernie was.

Joe is well-known for saying his mind, and this is not the first time he's shocked the party by telling the truth about Sanders' unassailable authenticity.

He also stated clearly that Bernie's position on gun-control is in step with the WH.

"Bernie's doin' a heck of a job!" - Joe Biden

Sounds to me like Joe is ON the Sanders bus, not under it.

They both threw the middle class way under the bus in 2001 in favor of the big banks and credit card companies. But I do find this protesting too much back pedaling to be just as interesting as his original comment.
