CBS does its part of false equivalence - plays the Obama clinging to their guns tape...

but overall, it was not a good treatment for Mitt on CBS news, with old man Schieffer coming down particularly hard. They showed two segments - with the 47% pay no tax part coming second, with a few fluff comments in between. It was amusing to watch the clip of Gramps McCain coming to the aid of Mittens!

3. Bob Schieffer came down hard on Romney-like a ton of bricks. I usually see Shieffer as a GOP

4. As other posters note, Obama was correct. But, Obama has bent over backwards for those folks too.

5. CBS has gone further to the dark side. They're trying to outfox Fox. It's not the same!!!

Ugh. If someone looks at both comments IN context, you can see that the President was being inclusive. He was saying that those folks got screwed over years ago, and it's made them suspicious and cynical, and that they have to reach out to them. Much like the went apeshit over Howard Dean's comments about the pick up trucks with confederate flags on them.

CBS has hired a notorious right winger to try and beat Fox at their game, the way CNN did a few years ago when they reached out to the fucking GOP to ask them how they could be more friendly to them.

who the 47% are--which makes Mittsy look like he's shitting on a big part of his base--since 38% of the 47% vote Republican.
