How is Beirut these days?

I'm going there Thursday, arriving Saturday. I'm going to a University there for language lessons until August. I'm a bit worried about the Syrian disaster spilling into the postage-stamp-size nation of Lebanon. I guess it has a little.

Does anyone have any information on how Beirut is right now?
