What was he wearing?

A post on tumblr puts a kibosh on the 'what was she wearing' accusations

On role change in rape: What was he wearing?

A rape victim finds her rapist and sets him on fire.

"rabbitsnwolves: Well, he was sorta asking for it, dressing in such flammable clothing.

sageruto: If he didn't want to get set on fire, he should have stayed indoors

electricalivia: He was probably drinking that night, alcohol makes you susceptible to fire.

transgalacticwanderer: If it’s a legitimate inferno, the male body has ways to try to shut that whole thing down.

lioar: Why didn't he stop, drop, and roll? He should have stopped, dropped, and rolled. He must have secretly wanted it.

hookersorcake: If you read the article, eyewitnesses said the man had purchased a lighter earlier that same day. Dude probably set himself on fire and lied about it. Typical.

quiyst: He should have relaxed and enjoyed it. After all it was just a bit of kindling cuddling

jayneausten: We need to start educating people about wearing fire-safe clothing and carrying extinguishers with them at all times. For their own safety."

Especially compared with Norway and Denmark. Not saying that those two countries are perfect, but it is very natural to compare the three. There was the case of the woman who was found guilty of battery because she slapped a guy who put his hand on her butt, and then there's the documentary from last year that showed that women in the public sphere in Sweden were victims of huge amounts of death and rape threats. They had to turn off the comments to the articles about in the newspapers because there were even more rape threats to the women who were interviewed about the threats.

So yes, even screaming so much that you lose your voice garners you an admonishment to "learn to say what you really mean." Can't win for losing if you're a rape victim.

WHAT? That is insane! Do you have an old link to an article or something?

Sweden having a rape problem is awful. Sounds like this is an epidemic that a lot of countries struggle with, even the more progressive ones.

They TIRED of gender issues. They want to move on, as opposed, say to working on solutions.

Now they want to pick on overweight people.

But I am glad you enjoyed it. DU has become a rather hostile place for minorities of late.
