alert, but realize that, not only will the alert probably not result in a hide, the alert summary will create a destructive sub thread of crowing over yet another astonishingly inappropriate post.

That feeling, that "right wing trash and sexism and racism and homophobic posts will not be trashed by a jury, so why bother?" is pretty accurate, but it doesn't bode well for this site.

is that we are considered by so many to "have problems" after our rape. They never mention the rapist is the person who had the problems and attacked another human being (although so few consider women human beings, it seems). I think you're right, in that there is an element of not having their supposed superiority catered to. We see this also with white (usually) men's hostility toward racial minorities, or with straight men claiming the LGBT movement has "gone too far" because gays are considered relatively more equal now.
