Probably not following the SOP, but I'll post anyway

I took a bad fall earlier today. Nothing broken, but bruised up from head to toe (especially the left boob that hit the metal corner on the dining table). I tripped over the kitty toy box! lol *face palm

I've noticed my balance has gotten worse over the last year as my menopause symptoms have increased. Anyone else experience the same issue?

The bruises are already coming out and by tomorrow I'm going to be black/blue/purple.

I'm thankful nothing seems to be broken, but I sure hurt like hell.

slather it all over the bruises and the pain will lessen, the coloration will go away much sooner. As far as balance goes, that may have more to do with posture and than menopause. Disclosure: I am not a medical professional, I just fall alot and get bruised, so it is my experience that arnica has miraculous healing properties.

but the posture angle could be it. 6ish years ago I was in a near fatal car accident, long story short - 7 months total in hospital, 39 surgeries and 14 being 'back procedures', I'm fused from my shoulder blades into my pelvis and lots of titanium. I didn't heal correctly and I'm about a 1/2 inch shorter on on my right side. My microneurosurgeon told me to hold off on the corrective surgery until it was unbearable- maybe this fall is a sign.

Just so you know that I've also had some problems with my balance even before I had my stroke during menopause. I wonder if it's a common problem for a lot of us?

You be careful and take it easy. LS

I'm making enough andouille jambalaya tonight to last us for a couple of days, so no cooking tomorrow at least.

I took a fall down some icy stairs winter 2010. I couldn't move for a week. Doctor said those type of falls can take a long time to heal. So hang in there and take it easy. The pain will go away. I am a man so I can't guess on a boob wound.

I'm taking it very easy today. I'm in a lot of pain, but ice packs and ibuprofen definitely helping. I guess I bruised a couple of ribs on that left side as well as the boob, not much can be done for that besides what I'm doing.

Sure glad you didn't do serious damage to yourself with that fall, it sounds just awful.

i havent done any research on it. periodically i feel it but it isnt usual. we dont hear much about it. my hubby bought me a bracelet that is suppose to help with that. i was like... what are you saying. i was clueless. i think he just wanted me to try it and see if it works cause he wants one. i will wear it for a while and then gotta take it off. constricting, even loose, bugs me. my father has worn one for a couple years. swears by it.

i do feel more hoppy and bouncy with the thing. but, then i figure it is cause i know i have it on.

something i will have to ask around about... imbalance as we age.

take care of you....
