The SCOTUS made women separate and unequal today.

Women are not afforded the same consideration that people who want vaccines and blood transfusions against their employers religious beliefs. You see, the SCOTUS made sure everyone knew this didn't open the door to that. All who work for jehova witnesses will still have your blood transfusion covered by your insurance... And whatever the hell religion is against vaccines, if you work for them, you're still safe too.

But that doesn't carry over to WOMEN and BIRTH CONTROL.

Women were given a whole new category of separate and unequal to all else, where our uteruses are handed over to craven fundy employers who think birth control is abortion. People who define as to what you do with your uterus.

Craven religious fanatics can now refuse to provide insurance based on your sex. Your being in possession of the godly wonderful uterus allows 5 Supreme Assholish Men the right to decide that others religious beliefs are more important than your autonomy.

I am beside myself with this. The mere contemplation of what it is they actually said to women today has my blood boiling.

condervatives always, always overreach and they certainly did it here - the Supreme Court displayed to the entire nation why single payer is crucial

Equal Rights Amendment. Fucking now. I am completely over this second class citizen BULLSHIT, this gradual erosion of rights, this fucking appalling entitlement and ownership mentality of so many men in this country.

Next time a man tells me "but women don't have it so bad, there's been so much progress!!!" I am going to completely fucking lose it.

I AM A FULL HUMAN BEING AND ANYONE WHO TREATS ME OTHERWISE IS GOING TO HAVE HIS ASS HANDED TO HIM.

I am DONE being patient, DONE being polite, DONE being kind, DONE playing games, DONE waiting.

Game over,

I ain't playing no more.

...they would have found some justification for this. They were determined to do it, and that's that. The conservatives wouldn't have given a rat's ass about an Equal Rights Amendment to the Constitution--after all, they don't give a rat's ass about the rest of it...

Sometime in my lifetime.

When I was a little girl in the 70s everybody told me THIS SHIT WAS TAKEN CARE OF. We were equal, it was assumed to be a done deal.

damned if I allow the SCOTUS to treat me and my sisters this way. Not only have they separated women into a separate class deserving of less medical coverage, they have taken it upon themselves to decide if anyone's religious beliefs are "sincere". That is an abridgment of my First Amendment rights. I now sincerely believe those men on the court belong in FUCKING HELL.

Since vagina probing but this is such an outright attack on women. It's unbelievable.
I posted another thread that goes further voicing my anger in GD. I remember when bc was illegal and how Griswald and then Baird and Roe liberated the portion of our lives controlled by biology. It's always been a fight but at least we were moving forward
I would need a good surgeon and chemistry set to become pregnant at my age but I am hoping women in my age group stand up. Ginsberg did.
These men are not going to stop trying to fuck with us. We have to remember that. We can't sit back because look what happens when we think we're safe.
