So I just "trash-canned" META.

Woke up early (on a day off!).

Saw the same group of people posting about our group,
or whining in general, and decided I didn't want to read
it any more.

First time I went back to my forums and groups choices,
my eyes immediately went to "Meta".

When it wasn't there, I felt surprise, followed by relief.

Now i feel really, really dumb!

But also relieved that I no longer have to see RK&BA stuff on the latest and greatest page. Thanks, PassingFair, you just made my night!

Along with the predictable "let's try to kill the feminist groups" gang. I haven't actually trash-canned it since I still like to check for technical issues that might be going on, but after that latest gag-inducing "kill the feminist group" bullshit I might. Then again, DU is such a pit of shit these days I spend precious little time here at all anymore other than checking in in the pet's group.

Can't open the most innoucuous thread with out it turning into HOF is bad diatribe.

My blood pressure can't handle this crap anymore. No more engaging in the verbal violence against us.

Let them lie, and try to antagonize us. At this point no one in Meta is interested in the truth, just the drama.

It does no good to go there to refute any of their lies, because those are the equivilent of their entrapment threads. One of us goes there and the swarm is all over that poster translating everthing into Meta-Speak. Damned if we do and damned if we don't. Well, there's a lot less energy invested in the don't. After a while it will become obvious to more and more that they are persuing a Vendetta against us.

I have never used ignore in all my years on DU until recently. When one of them actually wrote that HoF should be banned along with it's members,I realized what their agenda really was and put 13 DUers on ignore. Meta looks like ghost town without them.
