But I haven't been as prolific on DU as most people here, so that's no surprise.

3. According to this popular MRA, date rape used to be thought of as just "exciting".

"If a man ignoring a woman's verbal 'no' is committing date rape, then a woman who says `no' with her verbal language but 'yes' with her body language is committing date fraud. And a woman who continues to be sexual even after she says 'no' is committing date lying...

"We have forgotten that before we began calling this date rape and date fraud, we called it exciting." -- Warren Farrell, in Myth of Male Power

who will say they did ot rape, but when the rape is described they will say THAT is rape.

people tell themselves stuff to justify what they want.

and i have heard it argued by a FEW, really FEW here on du.

6. I guess.

Somehow I thought that DUers supporting, defending, etc. a rape and molestation apologist might be kind of a big deal.

I guess not.

Time for another break from this place.

I have to say, though, I'm thoroughly disgusted. After all the howls and bleats of outrage because I dared to think that solanas's reversal of Freud's bullshit was brilliant... yet NO ONE in this group defended her or took her call to "kill all men" at ALL seriously ... I thouhght surely the cavalry would show up in meta any time now. Any day.

I mean after all, how many men are murdered by women? Yet somehow any appreciation for the unambiguously OVER THE TOP satire is much more worthy of attention, scorn, bleating and calls for PPRing people than ACTUAL FANS AND DEFENDERS of an ACTUAL APOLOGIST FOR RAPE AND MOLESTATION.

Sick, sick, sick

13. It just occurred to me that a lot of people on this board are much too young

--to have been exposed to Freudian bullshit in their teens and young adult years, something which may very well be neccessary in order to "get" Solanas. I wouldn't expect anyone who had never read the Harry Potter novels to get anything out of Barry Trotter and the Unauthorized Parody (in which Barry and his friends take on Lord Valumart and the Dork Force) either.

I'm sure I've got the most vocal MRA fans on ignore and it's still vomit inducing. I'm not the least bit surprised that they feel comfortable posting on DU, why shouldn't they?
