Can't seem to load an avatar image other than those provided. Nowhere Acc Settings to click. Ideas?

I read up in the FAQs, and found reference to being able to click 'other' (or something equivalent) when choosing an avatar, but that option doesn't display when I am in acct settings. Could it be my browser, or that I'm on a Mac?

Suggestions would be appreciated.
