JoAnn or Jojo--that's what my nieces and nephews call me. I live in Delaware, born and raised. I didn't find DU till 2009 and I lurked for a while before I joined in 2010. I have 2 kids a 2 dogs and a cat. Oh yeah a husband too.

I love sports. I'm a huge football fan. I'm a Cowboys fan, Phillies fan, Notre Dame fan, and I hate the Iggles, Giants and Stillers with a passion.

sez "awwww" at the furkids. We have six rescued dogs, all girls, all herding breeds. It's a busy household! The good thing about having multiples of herding breeds is you can open the door, let them out, and they'll exercise each other

I couldn't imagine 6 dogs. All those paws to wipe before they come in the house.

my dogs are lazy, their idea of exercise is getting up and going to a new spot to lay down.

to stop at the door to get toweled off and their paws wiped. What's a hoot is when it's raining the line up to get blow-dried with the hair dryer.

They are totally girly-girls. Yup. In a household nominally headed by two men, the girls rule.

I've never met anyone else that trains their dogs to wait for their paws to be wiped or wait to be dried off. No need for a blow dryer a towel works fine for mine. My girls are trained too, they lift the front ones for me. I've always done that with all my dogs. I've always had big dogs. Two rescued Rotties and Boxers. Not the kind dogs you want running through the house wet and muddy.

Your farm is nice, I'd like to live out in the sticks someday. I'd like to renovate an old farm house or barn. I'm waiting to hit powerball or mega millions.

and got really lucky to find this place. It's a 3-bed, 3-bath manufactured home on 9 acres. Three acres are yard and gardens now. The weeds were chin-high when we moved in, but I've taken it back, fenced in the whole yard for the girls to play in. Since it was a foreclosure, we got house and land for $76k. We love it out here even if it is a bit of a drive to work or shopping.

Hope your numbers come in!! I could be your long-lost cousin

Awesome pics of your family! Such gorgeous kids you have there, and sweet "furbabies".

You know, I used to be a big Colts fan until they went to Indianapolis. I did really like the Ravens in their first few seasons but I can't seem to attach to them. I'll usually at least watch the Super Bowl, some years it can be pretty exciting.

I'm actually more of a baseball fan though. Partly because my first (ex) husband was a pitcher on the Orioles' roster briefly (until he told the manager to fuck off one day... he was a lot like the characher in "Bull Durham" -- threw fast as hell, but with no control ). I also played softball myself, on the state all-star team, so I lean more toward baseball for that too. My uncle was a minor league ref, and took me and my brother to the games, so we grew up with it. It's a boring game to watch, but fun to play. Anyway I'm digressing.

Very glad to "meet" you, JoAnn! I'm Ann. (from Maryland, we're almost neighbors)
