While I've never tried to post a PDF, I have posted JPG files no problem If you could turn the PDF into a JPG (or sereies of them), then I don't see why technically you couldn't post it. But of course you'd have to link to some internet location where you store the file. And I don't know about copyright issues.

I would do this, but I'm an old-timer, and it's only applicable to a Windows platform:

Take a screenshot (shift-print screen) when the .pdf is on your screen.

Paste the screenshot into MS Paint.

Save as a .jpg file.

Upload to a hosting service, i.e. Photobucket.

Copy the direct link and paste into your post.

I'm sure some young whippersnapper will be along shortly to put me in my place.

(this is just a copy of an old newspaper)

Edit: Well, I just went to the link thing at the top of page and copied/pasted, as I do with any link - seems to work just fine?

That's as high-tech as I get, eh? Anyway, best wishes posting!

You post links to files, so your PDF must reside on a web server somewhere first. Then just copy the link to it, and paste that into your DU post.

I've copied text on the order of a megabyte.
Open the pdf.
Press ctrl-A. (This selects all of the file contents.)
Press ctrl-C. (This copies all of the file contents.)
On DU open a new post and paste it in. Use ctrl-V or right-click and paste.
