You just need to upload them to a photo sharing/storage site like photobucket, then click on "direct link" at the photobucket (or other) site and paste that link in the body of your message.
You can preview with a button at the bottom of your message text to make sure the image showed up.

My daughter loves to draw, and is awesome at it. She's never tried watercolor or any kind of painting. Good luck with getting your Certificate! I would love to see photos of your work!
