DU Community Help
Related: About this forumHowdy, I'm Neoma.
I'm a 23 year old slacker. My username is greek for "new moon." No relations to Twilight. It's actually more of a reference to The Matrix. I live by a library, I hoard my own a library (1000+ books,) and I mostly only read or watch non-fiction. That said, I'm also a hardcore female video gamer. Skyrim! Diablo 3! WOOOO!
I also like to draw:
I also suck at introducing myself.

(26,217 posts)I did not know that. Loving all of these posts with people explaining their usernames! I am probably "pronouncing" most of them wrong in my head.

(5,649 posts)Of course, my user name is boring and needs no explanation.

I will say this for DU3, I'm seeing and getting to know a lot more posters than I did on DU2!

(21,653 posts)I'm old enough to be your grandpa or more likely your dad, but I like your drawing. It's clever and creative.
I grew up in St. Helens Oregon, where a bunch of twilight scenes were filmed. I don't think your introduction sucked.
Welcome.

(10,039 posts)Becoming DU famous over night made me a great big target by more than just one person.
Sharing frivolous things just seems safer.

(5,649 posts)Currently playing Rift (I tend to go for MMORPGs).
I won't go into all that has happened, except to say that I admire the way you stood up to bullies. I can't believe that you are young enough to be my daughter and still withstood all of that.
I can't draw worth a crap (yours is very good) and I hoard books, too. I love reading - just about anything except stupid romance novels!!!

(10,039 posts)Just like I hadn't heard of Tera Online.
Oh well.

(65,616 posts)Don't have time at the moment, but it is on the list. I wonder if it is based on the board game Rifts...was more fun then D&D back in the day imo.

Okay I must know...how is Diablo 3, I am scared to buy it because then I will stop living like a normal person and retreat into my Man Cave for a few months. For research, of course. Is it still top down, isometric view (I think that is right) or did they give you free zoom/open camera?
How does it compare to Diablo2? The commercial teaser makes out the graphics to be eye-poppingly awesome.
Neoma
(10,039 posts)It strongly reminds me of Diablo 2, except it's better. I'm not impressed with the plot, but you can skip it by pressing the space bar. I finished the plot and it put me in "nightmare" level, where it's the same plot, but it's harder to kill things, and it kind of sets you back as a newb, except you still have your stash and armor, etc.
Cool things:
You get to auction off your loot, and they're going to make it so you can get real money also.
You can bring your jewels to a jeweler, but you can also de-socket the jewels in armor.
There's DU players in there! Unfortunately, you can only play with 3 players at a time.
It still has the handy map when you press 'm,' and your character speaks when you press on the number pad.
You can purchase dye to make your armor colorful.
You're able to be a bit of a blacksmith and make your own armor, if you pour in a lot of monies.
Ruh roh...sounds like I will be buying it. I was hoping for some 24 pVe raid multiplayer online. Been a while since I've done that.

Unfortunately, my computer isn't powerful enough to run Skyrim, so I'm stuck with Oblivion. I love all the famous people's voices used in the game.
I'm more of a Strategy game person. Civilzation, Europa Universalis, etc.
