The NRA just called my house

The robocall warned me that my state government is about to vote to require SID(?) cards for long rifles and that I need to call my rep and senator to tell them to vote no on the bill so that my constitutional right to own a rifle or shotgun won't be infringed upon.

I just called both and told them to vote yes.

I'm glad they tipped me off about the coming vote and I was able to make my voice heard.

I doubt there is any such bill. NRA lies like mf-ers to keep their fans riled up. I remember one repug in MI was allowed to use my aunt's Real Estate office for making calls. He had a bunch of volunteers that were telling people they were from the NRA and to get out and vote for their shitty candidate. He was elected. It's ok, because I was proven right when I told my aunt the guy was scum. He later resigned in disgrace after a really loud, messy, public, drunken fight with his wife and girlfriend in a bar.

3. They live-called here a couple years ago.

Started talking about Wayne Lapierre. I said "WHAT? He sounds FRENCH!" and began rambling just like a regular NRA nut. Kept her busy for ten minutes.

I've been trying to get off SAF's contact lists for a long time now, but I still got a call not long ago. I think they got the message to stop sending physical mail after I sent them four sheets of paper with very angry words on them (written in permanent marker) stuffed in one of their business reply envelopes. They're probably worried I'll fly to Washington and shoot up their office. Good.
