And what we in this country call First and Second Amendment Rights, aren't confined to the Constitution or the Bill of Rights.

Those issues are bigger and we need to think in broader terms. This group is going beyond any interpretation of the Second Amendment to the inalienable rights in the Declaration of Independence, with this sentence being one of the most celebrated in the world:

...We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness...

~ Thomas Jefferson

The father of one of the Newton victims cited that statement as taking precedence over the Amendments. He even said that the order of the words was of significant, putting his son's Life above Liberty. I think this is where this group's activism draws strength, but appreciate the graphic. Thanks for posting.

But thanks for the link. Most of it is unsurprising, but I'm not sure if the comparison to the regulation of firearms is necessarily apt considering that more and more, we are learning that 'obscenity' is too arbitrary a label for the myriad of expression we are capable, while, thankfully, we are treating gun violence more and more seriously.

The two have two different destinies. Speech becomes freer, and gun access more difficult.

In fact, the vast majority of firearms in this country will never harm a human being. Child pornography, on the other hand, is always harmful.
