Men enter closed store by accident, pay for purchases

WAYNE, NJ (News 12 New Jersey/CNN) - It pays to be on your best behavior, even when you think no one is watching.

That's a lesson learned by a few young men from New Jersey after cameras caught them doing the right thing at a local store.

"We got a phone call at the police department saying there had been a break in at the store," Marci Lederman of Buddy's Small Lots said.

But when they got to the store, nothing appeared out of place. But the eye in the sky sees everything, so they went to the video tape.

People need to see young people doing the right thing, especially young black males who are so maligned these days.

It's really in our nature to do the right thing, it's society that teaches us to try to pull one over on others, I'm sorry to say.

Wow, thanks!

The link to the original story (that I found, at least) is in the OP. It has a video as well.

If you mean how do I find these stories, I literally "curate good" and use different keywords and different curation platforms to find uplifting stories. Wish I had more time to do so because finding good news is what keeps me going.

I also try to post them here -- at Our Collective Good -- as a repository of Good News.

So you can share from the original link or via the link from OCG, here, which still points to the WDAM.com link, however.

I needed batteries, most stores were closed at the beach (unusual, even the 7/11), so went to the mall,. picked out the batteries, and waited at the counter for 10 minutes,. started yelling for the clerk. finally computed the sales tax and left the money on the counter. it is what you do if you have cash and need the item.
