Harvey Weinstein demands movie "Snowpiercer" cut, because US-audience too dumb

Basically, Weinstein wants to cut 25 minutes of character-development from a 126-minute movie and replace it with voice-over-narration to shift the movie's tone from drama+action to pure action.
"The goal, said TWC when explaining the request to Bong, is to make sure his film “will be understood by audiences in Iowa… and Oklahoma.”"

To recap: The movie has already premiered in various european and asian countries, but Weinstein demands an additional dumbed-down version he is comfortable releasing for North-America.

When movies have to be "dumbed down" to show in America, hope is lost.

But now that Chris Evans is a big star, Weinstein sees a $150 million dollar picture.
