My #1 Favorite Movie will be on TV (Friday)

"Harry and Tonto"

TCM - 10pm

Someone mentioned this a few days ago, and I thought I'd give a little reminder.

thanks for the heads up.

I originally watched it because of Art Carney, but the movie literally blew me away. It was so simple, and yet, so freakin' profound. I gotta watch it again.

The talking Cat in my books will probably like it too.

It's my all-time favorite movie, too! I've watched it dozens of times. I love Art Carney, and I cry at the end. It's a beautiful movie, and I read all I could about the making of it. Thank you for the heads up

I have the DVD, and enjoyed the commentary.. Do you know of any other source? I'd love to check it out.

The acting is so great, but so is the writing. It's pretty funny, too. And inspirational. A senior citizen who loses his wife, his home, never been west of Chicago, but has some great adventures all across America.
