2. Bernie’s promises are pie-in-the-sky.

Literally none of his so-called “democratic socialist” programs have ever been successfully implemented in any government in world history, except for all the other major nations in the modern world, and also America during our most prosperous period.

in my DU posting experience is the dry humor of DU's resident Millennial spokesperson, Warren DeMontague.

Then again, truth be told, I love any post that makes me smile or laugh. I don't really care how young or old the poster is!

14. Last but not least, a Sanders presidency could hurt the precious Democratic party

Please read the incredible insight from Dana Milbank at the Washington Post, who points out that Bernie Sanders hasn’t raised any money for the Democratic Party, which might hurt progressives in smaller races. This would be a serious tragedy when you consider how successful the party has been since 2008 under DNC chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, only losing, to quote Milbank, “69 House seats, 13 Senate seats, 910 state legislative seats, 30 state legislative chambers and 11 governorships.” I mean, why stop throwing money into their coffers now??!? Clearly, the DNC and the party elite have the pulse of the people, and there’s no need for an entire overhaul of a fundamentally failed system. You don’t change your horse midstream, especially when that horse is stubbornly intent on drowning itself.

Edited to add bolding emphasis to the last sentence.

Also, it's a really good summary of the arguments used by Hillary fans on this site over the past few months. Funny how that works.

He hit 'em all ... Perfectly snarky!

3. Even if he was elected, he couldn’t pass any of his legislation.

This is a really important one. If there’s one message that should sink through your thick heads, it’s this: Cast your vote for the candidate who understands Washington, D.C. as it actually is, and not as you’d like it to be. Real change happens for progressives when we elect a centrist candidate who doesn’t represent our values in the first place, in the hopes that she makes concession after brutal concession to Republicans in an effort to pass legislation that strengthens banks and pharmaceutical companies and other monolithic institutions that contribute to our horrific wealth inequality.

One thing you should never do is to vote for the candidate who represents what you want the country to become, in the hope that it’s the start of a process that leads to an America we can be proud of, and which protects and supports all its people. That would be exactly the kind of naive, starry-eyed mistake you and your stupid Sanders comrades are dumb enough to make. What you would do, if you had any brains, was to forget the big picture entirely, ask reductive questions like, “can Bernie Sanders immediately pass universal health care?” and, if the answer is no, throw your vote to whichever compromised puppet the establishment tells you should win.

In other words, rubes, concede. Concede pre-emptively. Concede now, tacitly admit that your country is fucked beyond repair, and maybe even skip the middle man entirely by liquidating your assets, gathering the cash, and leaving it all on the doorstep of Goldman Sachs before you screw off and die in the streets.

JURY RESULTS

A randomly-selected Jury of DU members completed their review of this alert at Tue Feb 23, 2016, 04:25 PM, and voted 4-3 to HIDE IT.

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Piss off, troll!
Juror #2 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I have seen this from both sides but to be fair a point could be made without the insults, especially in the title. I challenge people in the future on a jury to write reasons they agree and disagree with a post and be fair about it. Not use it to score points for YOUR SIDE.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: It's meant to be satire. Not as good as Manny, but it's clearly satire.
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Nothing of value in this post. Nothing.
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

They didn't get it. Oh well... I thought it was obvious satire. And GREAT satire at that!

I am planning to confine my reading and posting to the Bernie group. I have watched and listened to Hillary for 25 years. Nothing she says to try to distance herself from her past is going to change my mind and I am not interested in dealing with her apologists.

They will check your facts, do your research, spelling and grammar, and generally tighten up your argument. Some of them. I humbly hope I have done likewise but I like DU for that. And the Lounge and the forums, even LBN, where DUers are more chill.

I always try to look at understand the other side. And I read through a lot of threads over the last week or two before posting here. I virtually never see even an attempt at a substantive argument from Hillary's side. It's BernieBros and Bernie can't win and nobody can prove that Wall Street money has caused her to change any votes, etc.

But like I said previously, I believe that a person's past behavior is the best indicator of what they'll do in the future, and I'm quite familiar with Hillary's past.

I thought it was beautifully over the top satire, and obvious at that.

The other option is somebody sort of bet that they could get a hide on it (and did). I give that a 10% possibility. I really think was some kind of friendly-fire incident. It is a war zone in GD-P

In hindsight it would have been better on my part to use the EXCERPT key on that text

and / or

Put &quot SATIRE)" right at the beginning of the headline.

Or Post it as was done here. Kudus to the OP!
